Vokèra has entered Green Manufacturer of the Year and Heating Manufacturer of the Year, and both of these categories offer the opportunity for installers to vote online for who they want to win.

Vokèra has announced the launch of the new Compact A, a SEDBUK A rated boiler, which has been specifically designed to meet the new Part L of the Building Regulations, should band B products be excluded from October 2010.

Following the success of Vokèra’s existing Compact HE range, the new Compact A is a cost effective combi, offering low NOx and is available in two outputs of 25kW and 29kW.

The name Compact describes the boiler perfectly as it is 40 per cent smaller and 22 per cent lighter than the previous model, while the standard Vokèra layout enables quick and easy equipment replacement or upgrade if required.

Alister Maclachlan, technical director, for Vokèra, said:  “We’re really excited about the new Compact A, as we believe it offers installers a quality, modern boiler which meets all latest legislation requirements, but at a cost effective price for domestic customers.

Compact A offers a number of key benefits including pre-mix combustion and a combined parallel and in-series hydraulic circuit.  The expansion vessel is side-mounted and a cyclonic separator is fitted as standard.  The interface is simple to use and a clock kit and wireless programme kit are available as additional options.

Energy Show Ireland

Vokèra showcased its latest renewable technologies and high efficiency products at this years Energy Show at the RDS in Dublin between 14th - 15th April, the show attracts over 5,000 visitors who seek current information on the latest advancements in low energy and renewable technologies for the future sustainability of Ireland. 

Vokèra demonstrated its latest products, including Solar thermal, heat pumps, high efficiency A rated condensing boilers and presented its support services, with experts on hand to discuss individual projects.

Vokèra is delighted to offically announce the newly refurbished technical training centre in Bradford is now open.

The refurbished and extended training school was officially opened by the Mayor of Kirklees, Councillor Julie Stewart-Turner, on 24 September. The new centre gives a boost to course options for northern based installers and engineers, as we can now offer courses on a wide range of heating and hot water solutions, including the Logic approved two-day certificated training on solar thermal water heating, and air source heat pumps and courses on more traditional equipment, such as high efficiency condensing boilers.

The new courses will provide a comprehensive range of options for our customers looking to expand their knowledge and skills into the renewables market.

Liz Moules, training coordinator at Vokèra, said: “Opening the new centre in Bradford will really give installers based in the north a boost when it comes to attending training. The courses we run at our London Colney office are extremely popular and well attended, so I’m sure we will see the same uptake at the new training school.”

Vokèra is attending PHEX Chelsea this year, showcasing its popular open vent boiler range, the Mynute VHE, at stand 23-24.

The Mynute VHE is an ideal boiler for open vent heating installations where the system is in good working order but the boiler needs replacing. Available in three outputs, 12kW, 15kW and 20kW, Vokèra’s SEDBUK Band A Mynute VHE has the ability to reduce running costs by 35 per cent when compared to a standard efficiency boiler.

The 12kW and 15kW models offer a rear flue option and the pipework can be fitted to exit the boiler at the top or the bottom, giving installers versatility. In addition, these two models have been designed with particularly small dimensions, 600mm x 340mm x 340mm, and are light enough to be lifted by one person, weighing just 25kg. The size of the boiler makes it a good choice for applications where space is limited or access is awkward.

Along with the Mynute VHE, installers will be able to obtain information and details on Vokèra’s renewable solutions. The company’s renewables portfolio encompasses its Zenith solar thermal water heating system with choices between on-tile, inset and evacuated tube collectors and the Neutro biomass boiler.
